This immersive sound training blends education, lived experience, and spacious practice. It is designed for those who feel called to facilitate sound with greater confidence, integrity, and care-whether you are a yoga teacher, therapist, coach, wellness practitioner, or simply someone drawn to sound as a pathway of connection and healing.
Throughout the weekend, we will explore sound not only as a technique, but as a relational and energetic practice - one that asks us to listen deeply, move slowly, and respond with discernment. This training emphasizes ethical facilitation, energetic awareness, and embodied presence, while supporting each participant in discovering their own authentic style rather than replicating someone else’s approach.
Course Objectives
Participants will:
Explore the history, roots, and foundational principles of sound healing, including how sound has been used across therapeutic, ceremonial, and contemplative contexts.
Learn how sound interacts with the body, breath, and nervous system through tone, intervals, rhythm, and resonance, drawing from basic music theory and physiological awareness.
Develop an understanding of how different instruments create distinct sensory, energetic, and somatic experiences, and how to choose and use them with intention.
Study trauma-informed principles, consent, and ethical considerations essential to responsible and attuned sound facilitation.
Cultivate energetic awareness through the lens of the koshas, using this framework to understand how sound moves through physical, energetic, emotional, mental, and subtle layers of being.
Learn about specific instruments and how to weave tones, instruments, pacing, and silence into a coherent and supportive sound experience for individuals and groups.
Engage in extensive hands-on practice to build confidence, discernment, and an authentic facilitation style rooted in presence rather than imitation.
